I actually wanted to develop a brief remark to say thanks to you for some of the great secrets you are giving out at this website. My time consuming internet research has at the end of the day been paid with reputable know-how to write about with my classmates and friends. I ‘d tell you that many of us site visitors actually are truly blessed to live in a good site with very many brilliant professionals with insightful solutions. Hey Evan,

LinkedIn had the capability of dofollow links for about a year and a half after the initial roll out of the publishing platform. On June 6th, 2014 all links created within the platform were nofollowed, but you could copy/paste text with links from outside of the platform and the dofollow was maintained. They patched this on July 6th, 2015. For the majority of the life of the publishing platform it did help with solid dofollow links from LinkedIn.com – which was awesome.

Hi there, I have been researching a new name for a business that I am ready to start. I know that ranking organically from scratch will be a tough job as I’m starting in 2015.
I have spent weeks doing keyword research and have decided to use a keyword for the business name. The reason I am thinking this is because I feel that it will rank highly on the local listings.
I have also found an exact match domain and am ready to register my company with companies house (UK).

The only concern I have is will my business actually show up in the local listing, even though when I do a search under the keyword no map listing show up?

In theory it should do as it is a legitimate business name and that will be officially registered. I will register it with google so I can be placed on google places.

Correct you are Ivo. And, Google Ads will need to evolve quickly as the era of “text links” diminishes or becomes transformed. Importantly, as mobile OS’s like Android and iOS advance in the next 3 years, the “assistant” technologies (Artificial Intelligence) like Google Now, Siri, etc… will drastically change user behavior. A tipping point will occur. Like your water example, will users of Google be okay entrusting of privacy trade offs. i.e. I’ll give Google Photos all my photos, in return, I gain tons of advantages and usage satisfaction. But, I’ll pay a price in privacy and ownership. That’s just one example that is more black and white. The more I’m willing to share with Google, the more likely their AI is to make me happier, smarter and ahead of the curve. I’m not saying that does not come with some serious risks. But, the risk of not doing it, “getting more from Google” could be equally as damaging…
